Mr. Kohler called each of the award recipients that were in attendance, forward and presented them with a certificate, then pictures were taken. 


8. Hearing of the Public

This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School Districts business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated. Those addressing the Board will be allotted three (3) minutes.

Susan Jackson asked to speak without registering. The Board granted her 3 minutes. She came to speak out for student athletes and the community, stating the need to correct the problems with the district track. She spoke highly about the students in the district and the need to update the track that is used by many of our athletic teams not just the track team.  She stated that when we invest in our facilities we are investing in our students.

Total Fund Balance = $2,448,122.75       

Dental Balance = $271,059.06- increased $4,199 from April to May

Self Funded Medical Insurance Fund balance = $2,177,122.- increased $7,142. from April to May

9.4 080.3-2026 Transfers, Advance and Account Modifications

It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following annual end-of-year Transfer(s) and Advance(s) to be made on or before June 30, 2026.

Transfers:

The 9th of 10 annual transfers of $26,158 from General Fund (001) to the Artificial Turf Replenishment Fund (070-941L) established in 2018. These funds represent the savings resulting from the expense reductions upon installing the artificial turf.

The annual transfer from the General Fund (001) to the Athletic Fund (018-941L). This transfer of $19,800.00 is payment to the Athletic Fund for Golden Redskins & Staff Pass Admissions to events in the 2025-26 school year.

The balance in the OHSAA Tournament Fund (022) to the Athletic Fund (018-941L). This transfer of $9,828.85 is from OHSAA tournaments held at CHS district athletic facilities after all tournament expenditures are paid. 

Advances:

Authorize the Treasurer to make additional necessary transfers, advances, and account modifications as required to close the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026; any transactions are to be reported at the next regular Board of Education meeting for ratification.

10.1 081.1-2026 Coshocton County Family and Children First Council

It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the interagency agreement between the Coshocton County Family and Children First Council and Coshocton City School District for the purpose of funding the Council in accord with Revised Code Section 121.37 and Ohio Attorney General Opinion 2002-008 for the calendar year January 1, 2026 through December 31,2026; and approve the district to pay $1,000 to the Council in one installment on or about November 30, 2026.

It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the attached agreement for services with Innovation Foods effective May 20, 2026 for the preparation and delivery of summer meals to the Coshocton community, not to exceed the maximum amount allowable ($350,000) for small purchases per Board Policy #6325, This program is being managed by our Food Service Director, Jennifer Andrews and the funds (Purchases and Federal and State reimbursements) will flow through the Food Service fund (006)

10.7 081.7-2026 Opportunity School Lease Agreement

It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the lease agreement between the Coshocton City School District Board of Education and the Governing Authority of the Coshocton Opportunity School for a three-year period from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029 at a monthly rate of $2,696.54 per month for July, 2026- June, 2027; a monthly rate of $2,831.36 for July, 2027- June, 2028; and $2,972.93 per month for July, 2028 - June, 2029.
