    9. Hearing of the Public

    This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District’s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting.  There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated.  Those addressing the Board will be allotted three (3) minutes.

    Pursuant to the Coshocton City Board of Education Policy 0147 and Ohio Revised Code: 

    "A Board member may request coverage for himself/herself and/or family in the District's group health care plan.  The Board member must pay all premiums for the coverage and must exercise this option in writing, announced at a regular meeting and recorded in the minutes.  This does not constitute "pecuniary interest" in any contract. (R.C. 3313.12, 3313.202)

    In accordance with this policy it is publicly announced that Dr. Jere Butcher has requested in writing to participate in the District's group health insurance at his own expense.

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following items:

    13.2 112.1-2024 Tax Budget

    It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt the tax budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2024 as presented, and further authorize the Treasurer to submit the same to the County Auditor. 


    13.3 112.2-2024 Monthly Financial Report

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the December 2023 Financial Reports.

    It is recommended that the Board of Education accept the following donations:

    14.1 113.1-2024 Ohio High School Athletic Association

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2024-2025 school year with Membership Dues of $50 per High School sport.

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following personnel items pending required paperwork, licensure, and BCI/FBI Background checks.  Salary placement is per the negotiated agreement subject to verification of degree and experience:

      • Evelyn Brenneman - Permanent Substitute Teacher at CES for $150 per day up to 182 days effective 1/8/2024 for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year
      • Clay Davis - Previously hired as a Substitute Intervention Specialist (BOE 8/17/23) - Change to Intervention Specialist at Degree: BA Step: 0 Effective January 18, 2024

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an overnight field trip on Friday, February 9, 2024, for the CHS Swim Team to attend a Sectional Swim Meet at Steubenville High School on Friday, February 10, 2024, coordinated by Emily Casey, Head Swimming Coach.
