    It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt the agenda.
     


    6. 014-2023 Approval of Meeting Minutes

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following meeting minutes:

    7. Hearing of the Public

    This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District’s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting.  In order for the Coshocton City School Board of Education to conduct its meetings in a productive and efficient manner that assures that the regular agenda of the Board is completed in a reasonable period of time, a maximum of thirty minutes of public participation will be permitted at each regular meeting, unless extended by a vote of the Board.  Any person or group wishing to address the Board shall register their intent to participate upon their arrival at the meeting.  All statements should be addressed to the presiding officer.  The Board retains the right to table any matter until further study can be made.  Each participant addressing the Board will give his/her name, address, and group affiliation, and shall be limited to three-minutes duration.

    The Board of Education hereby recognizes and honors Mark Sharrock, School Resource Officer from 2018-2023, for his exemplary service, dedication and commitment to the students, staff and Coshocton School community.

    10. Public Announcement

    Pursuant to the Coshocton City Board of Education Policy 0147 and Ohio Revised Code: 

    "A Board member may request coverage for himself/herself and/or family in the District's group health care plan.  The Board member must pay all premiums for the coverage and must exercise this option in writing, announced at a regular meeting and recorded in the minutes.  This does not constitute "pecuniary interest" in any contract. (R.C. 3313.12, 3313.202)

    In accordance with this policy it is publicly announced that Dr. Jere Butcher has requested in writing to participate in the District's group health insurance at his own expense. 


    11. 015-2023 Treasurer's Report and Recommendations

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following items:


    11.1 Updates

    11.2 015.1-2023 Tax Budget

    It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt the tax budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2023 as presented, and further authorize the Treasurer to submit the same to the County Auditor. 


    11.3 015.2-2023 Monthly Financial Report

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the December 2022 Financial Reports.

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following business items:
     


    12.1 016-2023 RESOLUTION TO PROCEED WITH ELECTION ON THE QUESTION OF A SUBSTITUTION OF AN EMERGENCY TAX LEVY

    It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt a Resolution Pursuant to O.R.C. § 5705.199 Determining to Proceed with the Submission to the Electors for the Coshocton City School District the Question of a Substitution of an Emergency Tax Levy.

     


    13. 017-2023 Superintendent Report and Recommendations

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following items:


    13.1 Updates
    • Semi-Annual Bullying and Harassment Report to Board President
    • School Resource Officer (SRO) Update

    13.2 017.1-2023 Personnel

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following personnel items pending required paperwork, licensure, and BCI/FBI Background checks.  Salary placement is per the negotiated agreement subject to verification of degree and experience: 

    • Unpaid Leave Request(s)
      • It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an unpaid leave request for Kayley Andrews, CHS Assistant Principal, for a total of 1 day - March 14, 2023
