    This meeting of the Board of Education is held in public for the purpose of conducting the business of the School District and is not a public community meeting. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated. Those addressing the Board will be allotted three (3) minutes.

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following items:

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Financial Summary as presented.

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the listed donations as presented.

    • Dean's Jewelry Year 3 of 5 - donation toward Stewart Field Scoreboard - $1,000
    • Joshua Senn - donation toward Auditorium Chair Sponsorship - $200.00

     


    10.4 Disposition of Curriculum Materials

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the disposal of curriculum materials that do not support the current goals of the curriculum and are no longer needed for educational purposes.

    10.5 August 2027 Five Year Forecast

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the August 2027 Five Year Forecast and Assumptions as presented. 


    11. Business Items

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following business items:


    11.1 EPC Cooperative School Bus Purchasing Program

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following Resolution:

    WHEREAS the Coshocton City School District Board of Education wishes to advertise and receive bids for the purchase of one (1) or more school buses

    THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Coshocton City School District Board of Education wishes to participate and authorize the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council to advertise and receive bids on said Boards' behalf as per the specification submitted for the cooperative purchase of Coshocton City School District school bus(es).


    11.2 Resident Educator Mentors/Facilitators

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following staff members for the Coshocton City Schools Resident Educator Program for the 2026-2027 school year at the approved negotiated rate: 

    • Craig Hamilton for Braydon Johns - Year 2
    • Carlynda Collins for Adelynn Carr - Year 2
    • Nikki Crabtree for Brianna Young - Year 2

     


    12. Superintendent Report and Recommendations
    Mr. Matthew Nicholas, Superintendent

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following items:


    12.1 Updates

    12.1.1 AI Workgroup through MVESC

    Several staff members including Matt Nicholas, Trista Claxon, Jason Olinger, Samantha Rotruck, Dana Brooks, Jami Brown and Matt Hartmeyer will participate in an AI workgroup through MVESC to align district protocols and resources with participating districts. 


    12.1.2 Popsicles in the Park

    Superintendent Matt Nicholas will provide the Board of Education with a recap on the Popsicles in the Park that was held on August 17, 2026.


    12.1.3 Competitive Cheer

    James Herman, Athletic Director, and Taylor Smith, Cheer Coach, will be present to discuss the potential addition of a competitive cheer program beginning in the 2027–2028 school year.


    12.2 Personnel

    It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following personnel items pending required paperwork, licensure, and BCI/FBI Background checks. Salary placement is per the negotiated agreement subject to verification of degree and experience:
